At Sir John Moore C.E. Primary School, the value of Head represents our commitment to fostering a love of learning, curiosity, and critical thinking. Inspired by the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30), we encourage pupils to use their gifts, strive for academic excellence, and grow in wisdom and understanding.

We nurture a love for learning by helping pupils develop wisdom through reflection, academic exploration, and deepening their understanding of God’s teachings. Jesus’ growth in wisdom serves as our model, inspiring pupils to seek both academic and spiritual growth with an open mind.

Our curriculum is designed to challenge and inspire, offering a broad and balanced education that equips pupils with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive. Through carefully sequenced learning, we ensure that pupils build a strong foundation of understanding in all subjects, encouraging them to ask questions, solve problems, and make connections across disciplines.

Through our Cultural Backpack, we equip children with a rich and diverse set of experiences, knowledge, and ideas that they carry with them into the world. These skills and understandings act as their toolkit, enabling them to navigate challenges, embrace opportunities, and make meaningful contributions to society.
